Aaron Loes opened DATAREST-194 and commented
Currently you can create your own and replace the PersistentEntityToJsonSchemaConverter however, the object model for JsonSchema is insufficient. A converter currently cannot be made to convert a different object structure because the RepositorySchemaController is tied directly to JsonSchema and JsonSchema cannot be extended because it is tied directly to the use of JsonSchema.Property
