Sri opened DATAREST-183 and commented

API doesn't force parameter for search methods

Ex.https://localhost/dc-2.0/employees/search/findBySoeId works without passing any parameter.

@Description("Search by SOE ID")
@RestResource(rel = "findBySoeId", path = "findBySoeId")
public Employee findOneBySoeId(@Param("soeId") String soeId);

Used latest jars from 2.0 build snapshots repo
