Description

Paweł Wilk opened DATAREST-1086 and commented

Add possibility to create custom controller for PATCH request, that uses the same merge method as repositories implemented in JSONPatchHandler.

Current workaround is to create custom controller that has PersitentEntityResource as a parameter and has both id and repository placeholders in its path i.e.

@PatchMapping("/addresses/{id}/{repository}")
public Resource<Address> update(PersistentEntityResource addressResource) {
    ...
}

which makes the ugly invocation endpoint /addresses/123/addresses
