Description

Wallace Wadge opened DATAREST-768 and commented

I have the following:

public class ApiAccount  {

    @Id
    Long id;
....
    @ManyToOne @Reference
    ApiLegalEntity legalEntity;

}
public class ApiLegalEntity {

    @Id
    private Long id;

    @OneToMany @Reference
    Set<ApiAccount> accounts;
}

and I have defined a EntityIdBackendIdConverter so all my links get encrypted -- this part works well for GETs for example.

The issue is that when I try to post passing in an entityIdBackend encrypted link:

curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"legalEntity": "http://localhost:8080/api/legalentities/YjFPajhKSDFwdVI1azZQYy9GQXY2UT09"}' "http://localhost:8080/api/accounts"

the encrypted bit ".../legalentities/YjFPajhKSDFwdVI1azZQYy9GQXY2UT09" does not trigger the converter and Jackson complains that it received a String instead of a long:

Failed to convert from type [java.lang.String] to type [java.lang.Long] for value 'YjFPajhKSDFwdVI1azZQYy9GQXY2UT09'; nested exception is java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "YjFPajhKSDFwdVI1azZQYy9GQXY2UT09"

Affects: 2.4.2 (Gosling SR2), 2.4.4 (Gosling SR4)
