Apologies for using Jira for this inquiry. I am not certain that it is an appropriate way, so feel free to delete the question/issue.

My initial question was if there is a channel for users of Spring Data REST to discuss related topics, e.g. a Google Group, a Gitter room, a Discourse forum, etc.

When checking the reference documentation and the Github README there are no such links and a quick search didn't bring anything up (I am also not sure if there is for spring data in general). IMO especially the Gitter rooms are a fine channel, a good example is the official room for spring-projects/spring-boot. They are easy to setup and everyone with a Github account can join.

No matter what, I think it would be helpful to mention it in the docs, the Github README and probably the spring project page. Even if the decision is to not have anything like it I feel it is good to know
