Alexej Kubarev opened DATAMONGO-967 and commented
MongoTemplate currently is creating a hard-coded implementation of MongoPersistentEntityIndexCreator. Sometimes, however, some custom handling for index creation/resolution during context startup is desired.
At the moment there is no way of overriding what implementation is to be used by MongoTemplate. Adding this support would also allow to change index resolver and thus allow handling of custom index annotations or what-not
