Description

Duration and DataSize are commonly used data types that we could treat as scalar types in MapBinder. This would allow them to be used in keys that contain '.' without needing the [...] escape syntax.

See #27581 for an example.

Research direction

Start by locating MapBinder and its existing scalar-type handling, then read issue #27581 for the concrete binding example. The change is done when Duration and DataSize keys containing '.' bind without requiring the [...] escape syntax, with coverage for those cases.
