Description

OpenAiApi.ChatCompletionRequest#setExtraBodyProperty provides support for custom parameter extensions.

However, in Spring AI, although there are many Chat Model APIs, none of them support this feature.

Do we need to add this method to each API? Is there a better solution?

Research direction

Start with OpenAiApi.ChatCompletionRequest#setExtraBodyProperty and compare how the other Chat Model APIs represent request parameters. Determine whether custom parameter extensions should be added to each API or handled through a shared design; done means the chosen approach is agreed and its scope across the APIs is documented.
