Description

I would like to migrate android-spock into the Spock Framework. The issue is that groovy plugin has already applied, conflicting with the Android Plugin. Also the android plugin as well as some of the libraries have to be downloaded through the Android downloader, instead of central/jcenter, causing additional setup.

I was wondering if this is something you see as valuable moved to the Spock Framework, and if so how do you propose I go about doing this? I was thinking of keeping it as a separate repo, similar to spock-grails.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked android-spock repository and the issue's notes about the Groovy and Android plugin conflict and Android downloader setup. A useful outcome would be a maintainer decision on whether to migrate it, and a concrete proposal for handling it as a separate repository similar to spock-grails.
