Description

As SpinKube is one of the prominent and vendor agnostic deployment targets, a dedicated spinkube environment should exist. I'd volunteer for:

  • sourcing information on what such a spinkube environment should actually contain (spinkube channel on CNCF Slack)
  • authoring the environment

A few questions

  • Templates: Could an environment be configured to use a conjunction of Spin default templates and templates provided via https://github.com/spinframework/spin-trigger-plugins ?
  • I expect to identify supported WIT worlds, by tracking the version of Spin used as part of the containerd-shim-spin which should provide the whole picture of which capabilities are supported for a given release of SpinKube. Correct?
  • Maybe a question for SpinKube maintainers (e.g. @kate-goldenring ): Having a spinkube environment, would result in it being updated as part of a SpinKube release. Where should such a release requirement be tracked?
