Description
I'm using the 3.3.4 Electrum version and downloaded it two days ago. I have tried troubleshooting by manually entering network addresses as well as selecting a network from the list disabling auto connect first. The best I have gotten is "synchronizing." I am new to having and using a bitcoin wallet but have been using Ubuntu for years. Can anyone please tell me any additional troubleshooting steps I can try or the possible reasons that it won't connect to the network.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. Start by reviewing the reported Electrum 3.3.4 and Ubuntu 18.04 environment, along with the attempted manual server selection and synchronization state; done would require a reproducible diagnosis and a confirmed resolution.
