Research direction
Start at electrum_gui/qt/main_window.py in privkeys_thread, then follow the traceback through wallet.py's export_private_key and keystore.py's get_private_key. Reproduce the password prompt after rescanning a QR code and determine how the InvalidPassword exception is handled. Done means the reported flow no longer produces an uncaught crash, with the expected password behavior verified.
