Description

No mode category option exists and session/set_mode is unhandled in v1. Expose whichever session-level switches make sense as mode options, and handle v1 session/set_mode by mapping onto the same state.

Part of #146.

Research direction

Start by reading issue #146 and tracing the existing session-level configuration options and v1 session/set_mode entry point. Identify which session switches belong in a mode category, then ensure session/set_mode maps to the same state as those options. Done means the relevant mode options are exposed and the v1 request is handled consistently.
