Description

Background

We currently have one algorithm with the Id=ghost This correspond to the Magma algorithm. We do not have on the list the other ghost algorithms.

Check the oid list for the gost family

Rationale

We should include the rest of the ghost algorithms and add to magma the corresponding ID, instead of having only one with a generic ID. This affects https://github.com/spdx/cryptographic-algorithm-list/pull/63

Description

This issue tracks the identification and addition of the different ghost algorithms into the List, as well as the adaptation of the algorithm Magma to the new reality of the List, which includes to assign the correct oid

Actions

  • Assign the right oid to Magma #64
  • Identify the other ghost algorithms
  • Add the properties to these algorithms
  • Discuss the algorithms on the weekly meeting
  • Provide a PR for each one of them, following the new addition process
  • Review and approval of the PR

DoD

  • Link to Magma algorithm including the new oid
  • Link to each one of the new ghost algorithms on the list

Research direction

Start with the linked TC26 OID list and the Magma change in issue #64, then inspect how existing algorithms are represented in the list. Identify the remaining GOST algorithms and their properties, follow the new addition process described in the issue, and confirm that each new algorithm has a linked list entry and that Magma has its new OID.
