Description
Currently the behaviour of sync/async for HTTP and library triggers is different: one returns output with a failure and the other throws an exception. They should be consistent.
Same applies to new triggers (storage).

Research direction
The issue describes inconsistent sync/async invocation behavior across HTTP, library, and storage triggers but names no files or tests. Trace the invocation entry points for each trigger type, compare failure returns with exceptions, and verify that all listed triggers follow the same behavior.
