Description
Hi all,
I've opened a pull request with a first draft:
https://github.com/solid/specification/pull/798
The idea is to make it possible for applications to signal intent to one another, so that I can pass information to a receiving application with information about what my user wants to do. For instance, I want to be able to signal 'please log in as this user and open this resource' to a text editor application.
I've shown a working demo of this on the 2026 Solid Symposium and would like to see if we can get this type of handover defined as a specification for other app builders to implement.

Research direction
Start with pull request 798, which contains the first draft linked from this issue, then read the proposal describing cross-application intent handover. Done means producing a specification that lets other application builders implement the handover, including the example of logging in as a user and opening a resource.
