Description
Oasis has a set of emergency standards, collectively known as the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL), and a vision to support and extend management of emergency information, e.g. tracking of emergency patients, hospital availability, resource management, and alerting. See video, website and specs and schemas. Solid might be a key enabler for a reference implementation. Emergencies don’t respect organizational or governmental boundaries and it comes down to individuals and groups of people who often need to support each other. For people to share their information, unique needs and resources, during an emergency, but have control over the information, this might be an important and broadly applicable use case.
