Description

Try returning it in Variable.type_field, remember to check the needed client compatibility.

In VSCode, the client capability related to showing variable types is off by default. We can check config in the vscode extension and suggest enabling it via popup (requires setting "debug.showVariableTypes": true in settings)

Research direction

Start with Variable.type_field and trace how variable data is sent to the client, checking the required client capability for showing types. Then inspect the VSCode extension configuration and its popup behavior. Done means compatible clients can display variable types and the extension suggests enabling debug.showVariableTypes when needed.
