Research direction

Start with the IntelliJ, Windows, WSL, and spark-shell workflow described in the issue, then review the getting-started examples. Reproduce the cross-environment Delta table path problem and evaluate a local open-source Unity Catalog setup. Done means a test exists and the results are presented or discussed in the SDLB weekly meeting.
