Description

Not sure if this is out of the scope here, just wondering if I have an "unsynchronized" subtitle A and video file B, but the subtitle is actually "synchronized" with "another version" of the same video C(like recording of TV show, but cut the advertisement at the different point), so A and C are synchronized, but A and B are not, is it possible to use video C as the reference, then sync subtitle A with video B? Thanks!

Research direction

The issue does not identify any files, tests, or entry points. First clarify whether a second video can be supplied as the synchronization reference and define the expected behavior for differing edits; done means the requested subtitle transfer works reliably for the described video versions and is covered by an agreed test.
