Research direction
The issue mentions z.lua and the nvim command but names no files, tests, or entry points. First determine how z.lua records paths and how opened Neovim files could be exposed to it, then define the expected integration behavior and a way to verify it. Done should mean the agreed Neovim file or directory visits are remembered by z.lua.
