Description

https://m3.material.io/components/navigation-rail/overview

A collapsed and expanded navigation rail have been introduced to replace the baseline nav rail. The expanded nav rail is meant to replace the navigation drawer.

The baseline navigation rail is no longer recommended

Skip UI doesn't use NavigationDrawer or NavigationRail as of today, but I'm planning to add it in my fix for #378, and as soon as I do, I'll have to upgrade it 😖

Research direction

Start with the navigation work planned in issue #378, then compare the components it introduces with the linked Material 3 navigation-rail guidance. Done means Skip UI uses the new collapsed or expanded navigation rail rather than the deprecated baseline rail or drawer.
