Research direction

Start with the Material Expressive overview linked in the issue, then inspect the existing components and AppBottomBar usage in skip-ui. Compare those components with the proposed Material Expressive components, including Toolbar, and document a concrete adoption scope and replacement plan. Done means the components to opt into or replace are identified with an agreed implementation scope.
