App version

6.4.2

Feature

Delete for everyone button is disappearing in time by default. This is a lacking security feature. Both side of users must have a by default right to erase all their sended messages from group or pm conversations, in case when emergency situations occur. This can prevent many unwanted or creepy people to store your private messages forever by default. This issue needs to be fixed in order to give it's users privacy hygiene and safety in a such platform when anything can happen, because how dangerous it is, when you can not know with whom you can talk in this platform because of such high level anonymity.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the implementation of the “Delete for everyone” action across the all-platform app, then clarify the required default timing and behavior for group and private-message conversations. Done should be defined by agreed product requirements and tests covering both sides of a conversation.
