Hi Simon,
I stumbled on your blog post here about your testing of ChatGPT's virtual environments. https://simonwillison.net/2026/Jan/26/chatgpt-containers/
I was specifically interested in how you got that environment to pull down and install packages into the virtual environment, as i've been trying to get something similar work. I've reach the blog post, including every linked/share chat as well as your 'chatgpt-container-environment' MD. For the life of me i can't get any of the behaviors you documented to repeat themselves.
By chance, do you recall the last time you were able to get something like this to work? I'm wondering if the virtual environments have changed behind the scenes since January, or if i'm just going about this the wrong way.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated!
