Description

Technically we can infer the pixel type from the file itself, without the need to have it in the parameter file. Then, we could generalize the loading function to remove the pix_type argument from all soopercool scripts to make it easier to read.

Research direction

Start by locating the map reading function and each SOOPERCOOL script that passes pix_type, then trace how the file's pixel type is currently handled. Done means the loading function and affected scripts no longer require pix_type in their parameters while still reading maps successfully.
