Description
Currently, the experiment script runs through the 'preprocess', 'train', and 'test' steps without checking if each step succeeded. For example, if an error happens during preprocessing, the train and test steps will be attempted anyway. This can lead to error messages at the end of the log that are misleading, since they are not the root cause error. Success/fail checking at each step would result in clearer results in the log and more efficient operation.

Research direction
Locate the experiment script and inspect how it sequences the preprocess, train, and test steps. Verify how each step reports success or failure; done means later steps are not attempted after a failure and the log makes the root cause clear.
