Description
For a multiple book project, the Adj List only shows references for the first book, even after changing focus to another book in the project. I'm scared to click the Generate button because the help tip for that says it will re-generate content for Front Matter as well. I don't want to mess up the Front Matter data I've already finished tweaking.

Research direction
Reproduce the problem with a multiple-book project and switch focus between books while viewing the Adj List. Trace how the focused book is selected and how Generate affects Front Matter; done when the Adj List updates to the selected book without unexpectedly overwriting existing Front Matter.
