Description

List of jobs, with checkboxes

  • Tag history as server giving out tokens
  • Make register.py source environment file if necessary
  • Document firewall settings as developed with Gemini
  • Make & test backup script for tokens
  • Document linking backup script for tokens to /usr/local/bin
  • Check that running scripts match those in the repo
  • Develop script to run registry.py with admin and other arguments
  • Work through client scripts
  • Change README.md to not talk about getting the token by mail, and add a Copy button to the HTML page that gives out the token.
  • Test receiving on Windows
  • Get lt1-- to test for syncthing running, not rslsync.
  • Change name of current list of files in repo from LangTran-- to LangTechDepot--.
  • Rename BTSync as LTSync if possible, and change all scripts to match.
  • Make an extra version of LangTechDepotFiles.txt, based on the folders in BTSync.
  • Make LTSync/All_Contents/LangTechDepotFiles.txt each time lt5-list-files is run
  • Make LTSync/*/LangTechDepotFiles.txt have a line for each folder offering that shows its size.
  • See if we can sign everyone up to get LTSync/LangTechDepotFiles.txt as part of the installation, so everyone gets it first and it stays up-to-date.
  • Change setup-langtechdepot.ps1 so it doesn't ask for a token if we have installed already, or distribute langtechdepot-subscribe.ps1 again.
  • Find all files belonging to user rslsync or group rslsync and change them to ltadmin
  • Uninstall resilio sync and that user and group
  • Write to Tim Sissel, who asked us to host TECkits Mexico, and ask if it still needed.
  • Test our email account and set values in register.env.
  • Check that Site Layout in README.md matches reality.
  • Decide if Macos installer needed -- see sub-issue #11

Research direction

This issue is a broad checklist rather than a single change; start by choosing one unchecked item and reading the named files, including setup-langtechdepot.ps1, register.env, and README.md. Check sub-issue #11 for the macOS installer question. Done means the selected task is completed and its checkbox is updated, but the full issue spans several independent tasks.
