Search results show unknown contacts with no option to fully remove them

Start by reproducing the behavior through main-screen search on Signal Android 8.23.3, checking contacts from previously left groups or removed connections. Compare these results with chats, groups, and the new messages screen. Done means the unexpected contacts no longer appear, or there is a clear way to identify and fully remove them.

Bug description

I've noticed that when I search on the main screen, the search results show contacts with whom I have no Signal connection and no groups in common (see screenshots for an example).
There are many of those when I search for different letters.
I don't see any of them in my chats or groups and they don't appear in the new messages screen, even when I search for them there.

I was able to recognize some of them from groups I previously left, but I've never had a Signal connection with them. Some I don't recognize at all.
Thus I'm guessing these are either from groups I previously left or from past removed Signal connections, rather then being completely random.

I couldn't find any way to remove them from the search results.
Getting a complete list of these contacts that could pop up in the search results is difficult too, since I can only access them by searching for random letters.

I propose not showing these contacts in the search results at all, since it's very unexpected that they only show up in the main screen search results and nowhere else, and it's also worrying for contacts you don't recognize at all.

If these contacts being in the search results is somehow intended functionality, please give us the option to remove them fully from showing up anywhere (similar to the remove Signal connection option) and also make it easier to identify such contacts (e.g. in a complete list) so that you don't have to search for random letters to find and remove them (and probably miss some you didn't search for).
