Description
Volume of other media on the computer is reduced when audio output devices are unplugged / plugged back in.
Reproduction steps
- Using some USB headphones on a Windows 11 machine
- Listen to some music on your computer - note how loud the music sounds.
- Log in with the 26.4.0.34502396632 viewer. (https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/26.4.0.34502396632.html)
- Unplug the USB headphones.
- Plug in the USB headphones.
Observed: The music volume is lower now.
- Quit the viewer.
Observed: The music volume has returned to the level it was in step 2.
Expected; The volume of other media playing on the computer should not be affected by the viewer.
Note: This issue does not reproduce on Release 26.3.0.31203661088 (https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/26.3.0.31203661088.html)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the USB headphone unplug/replug sequence on Windows 11 with the listed viewer release, then inspect SecondLife.log and compare it with release 26.3.0.31203661088. Done means reconnecting the headphones no longer lowers other computer media volume, and quitting the viewer is not required to restore it.
