Description
Steps To Reproduce
-
This bug only affects some rigged mesh with alpha blended textures. I have so far been unable to create a simple repro object from scratch which will reproduce this bug
-
Repro item 1: Clover Megalashes: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Clover-MegaLash-DEMO-add-me/24449814
-
Repro item 2: Nova Alloy hair: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nova/110/181/428 - this one - https://prnt.sc/3S8bxQcMNFoI - the demo is fine to repro.
-
Attach the Alloy hair and the Clover Megalashes to your avatar
-
Enable "Highlight Transparent via CTRL+ALT+T or Top Menu -> Build -> Options -> Highlight Transparent
-
Observe how the hair and lashes render.
Observed Behaviour
-
When Highlight Transparent is enabled, most of the Alloy hair turns invisible and part of the Clover megalashes turn invisible
-
See attached image
-

Research direction
Start with the two supplied rigged-mesh reproductions and the Highlight Transparent steps. Review viewer issue #2577, pull request #2925, and the linked Firestorm fix for relevant behavior; no viewer files or tests are named. Done means the hair and lashes remain visible when Highlight Transparent is enabled.
