Description
Environment
ExtraFPS 7.1.11.12150664210
Description
Unable to rez objects on top of some areas of water.
This only occurs for when Transparent Water is disabled.
Area of water appears to be linked to non-rendered land that can be seen when disabling water rendering via Advanced>Rendering Types>Water
https://gyazo.com/d018df0d07b8573218317541a3207ed8
Behaviour appears to have begun with PBR.
Reproduction steps
- Disable the Transparent Water setting
- Derender water via Advanced menu
- Find a patch of land that is not rendered underwater (camera requires being above water)
- Attempt to rez an object on water surface
(see gyazo link above)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue using the listed Transparent Water and water-rendering settings, then compare behavior with PBR enabled and disabled. Use the linked screenshot and reproduction steps to identify the rendering state that prevents placement; done means objects can be rezzed on affected water surfaces.
