Description

From https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-34355

When I enable WebRTC voice, I see that it connects to the server, but no devices are available in Prefs > Sound & Media > Voice > Audio Device Settings. I do see in pavucontrol in the Playback tab I see speech-dispatcher-dummy:playback and ALSA plug-in (do-not-directly-run-firestorm-bin]:ALSA Playback, and in the Recording tab there are two instances of ALSA plug-in (do-not-directly-run-firestorm-bin]: ALSA Capture.

The following day I am unable to use even SLVoice, no devices are available.

Audio devices do show on in non-WebRTC viewers

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with WebRTC voice and inspect Prefs > Sound & Media > Voice > Audio Device Settings alongside pavucontrol's Playback and Recording tabs. Compare the behavior with non-WebRTC viewers; done means Linux audio devices appear and remain usable for both WebRTC voice and SLVoice.
