Research direction

Start in scirpy/pl/styling.py at _get_color, especially lines 123-164 linked in the issue. Read the surrounding plotting and data-handling code to identify the private scanpy functions being used and how mudata should be supported. Done means the function no longer depends on those private scanpy functions and works with mudata.
