Description

Rendering of polygons seems fine (maybe set an upper bound of polygons beyond which we want to display a subset).

Meshing of polygons is slow, this could be vastly improved. It takes a few seconds just for a few hundreds polygons (Xenium dataset).

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by profiling polygon meshing and rendering with a few hundred polygons from a Xenium dataset, then determine whether meshing or displaying a subset is the main bottleneck. Done means a measured performance improvement with rendering behavior preserved.
