Reading the links in my browser Chrome on 9.11.2001.

This came up as I was preparing the page for my memories of 9/11.

  • Dict -- I was putting a dictionary on my main editing page, either this was a link to my development project or a link to a dictionary so i could get experience using it as part of my routine, before writing the code.
  • Exodus -- the name of the server Scripting News' CMS was hosted on?
  • Google -- search wasn't built into the browser yet
  • Radio -- the product, and iirc correctly -- what i was using to write Scripting News at the time? Not sure
  • Smurf -- codename for a product Jake was working on. i think it was a music list maker and player.
  • Yahoo -- I guess Yahoo was still a way to find things??
  • MUOTD -- My UserLand on the Desktop -- the state of the art in feed readers on 9.11.2001
  • K -- this one I have no clue about. It was important enough to get into the chrome of the browser, but name kept short so as not to take up a bunch of space.
  • murphy2 -- one of our servers??

I was using MSIE on a Windows machine. I hadn't switched back to the Mac yet.

I wanted to include this here because as I go through various parts of the project I have trouble remembering what projects were around while I was working on the code I'm looking at.
