Description

We added the ess/snspowder package because, at the time, we did not have enough data and complete workflows for DREAM. AFAIK, nobody uses the POWGEN workflow in production and we now have a complete workflow. So in principle, we can remove the SNS package and docs so that we no longer have to maintain them.

The only issue is that the vanadium processing docs need realistic vanadium data with peaks. The simulated DREAM data is not suitable:

So do we need to keep the POWGEN workflow until we have measured DREAM data?

Research direction

Inspect the ess/snspowder package, its associated documentation, and the POWGEN workflow references. First determine whether the workflow is still needed for realistic vanadium data, then identify all package and documentation dependencies; done means the removal decision is resolved and no required workflow or documentation coverage is lost.
