Description
We are using the following the image ( sameersbn/mysql:latest ) to deploy mysql service as separate docker instance model with existing mysql folder sharing. While creating an instance we have facing an following issue "Could not connect to mysql server. Aborting....." .
Appreciate suggestions about why this might be happening or how to troubleshoot.
Note:-
Without data volume sharing , mysql instance is working fine without any issues.....
Thanks, Kaleeswaran N

Research direction
Start by reproducing the failure with the sameersbn/mysql:latest image and the existing shared mysql folder, then compare it with the working setup without data-volume sharing. Done means identifying why the shared volume prevents connection or documenting the required configuration and troubleshooting steps.
