Research direction
Start with the documentation for OAUTH_SAML_IDP_CERT_FINGERPRINT and trace how the SAML configuration handles the certificate fingerprint. Determine whether SHA-256 is supported, and document the supported configuration or the required scope of work. The issue has no file or test references, so the implementation entry point is not identified.
