Description

For some reason I am not able to create subgroups. The button (or option) is missing. I have seen there is an option for groups GITLAB_CREATE_GROUP and I was wondering if there is something similar for subgroups and it is disabled.

Edit 1: I think it is related to MySQL. From the official website:

Notes:

Introduced in GitLab 9.0.
Not available when using MySQL as external database (support removed in GitLab 9.3 due to performance reasons).

So maybe you can add this info to the Readme.md so people are aware before choosing a database. :)

Research direction

Review Readme.md and verify the reported subgroup limitation against the linked GitLab documentation and this image's database configuration. Document the MySQL restriction and its impact on subgroups so users can choose a supported database with clear expectations.
