Description

Hi,

If I upgrade postgresql from 9.5-4 to 9.6, GitLab become empty, all user & project are gone.
But if use back to 9.5-4, all data are back.

Does anyone know what may be the cause?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Research direction

Start by reproducing the PostgreSQL 9.5-4 to 9.6 upgrade in the docker-gitlab setup and inspect the database configuration and mounted data. Compare the GitLab state with each PostgreSQL version; done means identifying why users and projects disappear and documenting a verified fix or migration path.
