Research direction
Start with the FreeBSD service command and /usr/local/etc/rc.d/salt_minion, focusing on how it interacts with MultiMinionProcessManager. Reproduce the warning on FreeBSD 14.2 using Salt 3006.8, then trace why the shebang cannot be read while the minion is running. Done means service salt_minion status reports the process without that warning.
