Description

As an administrator who needs to work with installations provided in .iso format, it would be useful to have .iso files work with archive.extracted.

Describe the solution you'd like

  • support for iso in archive.extracted

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • manual implementation with pycdlib in a custom module
  • cobbling together CLI tools to extract

Research direction

Start by locating the implementation and tests for Salt's archive.extracted state, then review how supported archive formats are selected. Use the pycdlib alternative and existing archive behavior as context; done means archive.extracted can process .iso files with coverage for the new format.
