Description

Describe the bug
What I'm currently doing: I've connected a Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard and mouse to my iPad, along with a large display (USB-C Hub). Through this large display, I connect to a standard Windows PC, where I'd like to occasionally write a text. Unfortunately, this PC doesn't recognize my German keyboard and always uses the English keyboard layout, which makes it difficult to find certain keys. Is there a solution for this?

Describe the environment

  • Install environment: docker
  • If available, the docker-compose.yaml file
  • If package, we need the distribution and release: Ubuntu 24.04

How to Reproduce the bug
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Connect from ipad to Windows PC
  2. Write with keyboard connected to ipad

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reproducing the iPad-to-Windows connection and determine which RustDesk component handles keyboard layout mapping; done means German keyboard input is recognized correctly by the remote Windows PC.
