Description

I noticed that some builtins like bitreverse produce slower code than the LLVM backend, so it'd be good to optimize them.

This includes SIMD intrinsics since some of them were implemented without SIMD instructions.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating manually implemented builtins and SIMD intrinsics, then compare their generated code with the LLVM backend. Done means the affected builtins produce optimized code comparable to the LLVM implementation.
