Description

i will quibble with “supported” on macos, -C split-debuginfo=off just silently disables debuginfo there. but we should fix that in the official docs, not here.

The docs for this cli flag might benefit from being slightly reworded.

Research direction

Locate the official documentation for the -C split-debuginfo CLI flag and read its wording for Apple targets. Clarify that split-debuginfo=off silently disables debuginfo there, then verify the updated documentation accurately describes that behavior.
