Description

What it does

An impl body without any functions does not seem to have any meaning, and just increases the code size. This is not to be confused with impl for a trait - those are in fact needed.

Advantage
  • Removing dead code
Drawbacks

No response

Example
struct Foo;
impl Foo {} // <- this can be removed

struct Bar<'a>(&'a str);
impl<'a> Bar<'a> {} // <- this can be removed

Could be written as:

struct Foo;
struct Bar<'a>(&'a str);
