Description
Hi,
I'd like to see any recursive calls highlighted by my ide, but of course this has to start with the language editor. It would be very easy keeping track of them so I can ensure they're tail recursive or find culprits easily. Maybe for example, my ide vscode, could place a recursive marker next to the function definition on the gutter.

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests; start by locating the language-editor and VS Code integration entry points responsible for gutter markers. Define the supported meaning of a recursive call and verify that recursive functions receive the requested marker, including the tail-recursive case described.
