Description

A lot of the information in the Generic Functions section is true for most or all places generic parameters are used. As such, we should just have it in the generics chapter.

Research direction

Locate the Generic Functions section and the Generics chapter in the Rust Reference. Compare their content and identify information that applies broadly to generic parameters rather than only to generic functions. Done means the general material is moved to the Generics chapter without losing coverage or leaving inappropriate duplication.
